Our Team
Sue Blair
Sue has danced with horses since she was three years old. She and her first horse jumped their way through south Florida shows. There have been 23 horses in Sue’s life, presently nine, all who have lived with the promise to be together until death parts them. Every horse has taught her a part of her collective knowledge, which allowed her, with farrier Stacy Henson, to invent and patent the first Easy’s Slipper®. Now 12 patents later the development of new products under the Easy’s Slipper® name continues. A lifelong journey and relentless quest to make horses’ lives healthier, happier and better through cutting-edge and ancient technologies, her boundless energy makes her always look for solutions. She lives at Carpe Diem Farms a 48-acre Audubon Sanctuary and horse farm with her nine horses, two dogs, and three cats, where Sue also operates the educational foundation she created 26 years ago, which explores the human potential through equines. She graduated from the University of Florida.
Georgia Robert
Georgia Robert began riding at age five with her aunt, a former trainer of Olympic eventing horses. She grew up riding Dressage in Atlanta and rode hunter jumper for university in 2002, competing in Nationals for her school in 2003. Georgia met Sue in 1994 in Highlands, NC, where she began taking lessons with her pony, Babe. In 1999 Georgia’s parents asked Sue to find a horse for their daughter to ride. She found Fast ‘n’ Easy, the horse Easy’s Slipper® is named after, and the Robert family donated Easy to the farm. Sue and Georgia have a life-lasting friendship and continue to ride together.Together, they have worked to make Easy’s Slipper® a reality. Georgia also spent many summers teaching riding lessons at Carpe Diem Farms kids camp. She earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University and her graduate degree from University of Chicago. She now competes as an eventer in Area III and trains in Athens, GA.
